A program full of experiences to discover the colors and flavors of the Terre del Sagrantino ... Montefalco, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy awaits you with its breathtaking views and the great food and wine excellences of the area.
"Terre del Sagrantino", inside the Sant'Agostino Exhibition Hall, is the market exhibition to promote the excellence of quality agri-food and artisan products: oil, cheeses, cured meats, ceramics and fabrics will be the protagonists of excellence of the Umbrian territory .
Within the exhibition, the Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco, on Monday 10 April, takes care of the prestigious tasting counter of Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG and other local wines while it is curated by the Ass. Strada del Sagrantino the guided tasting to discover the DOC and DOCG wines where the Sagrantino Passito played the leading role in combination with the typical products from the Terre del Sagrantino, all in the name of the centuries-old Easter tradition.
An Easter full of events dedicated to the culinary tradition of the area with guided food/wine tasting, culture, music as well as folkloristic events such as "La Ciuccetta" and the "typical Easter breakfast" and the traveling show of the historic group of flag-wavers and musicians of the city of Montefalco.

THE SAGRANTINO of MONTEFALCO
Thematic guided tour: from the splendid frescoes in the central apse, painted by Benozzo Gozzoli in 1452 with the Stories of the life of San Francesco, to the Cantine dei Frati, a journey through the history of our native vine, Sagrantino di Montefalco, admirable testimony of a a living bond that has always existed in Montefalco, since ancient times, which unites art and everyday life, culture and society.
At the end of the visit, the participants will be presented with a bottle of Montefalco Rosso DOC offered by the associated cellars of the Strada del Sagrantino to ideally conclude the experience.
